Who it’s for: sanctions analysts, compliance officers, MLROs and operations leads in Kenyan financial institutions.
Format: about 45 minutes, self-paced, with a 10-question final assessment (pass mark 80%) and a certificate.
You will be able to:
- State what Kenya’s targeted financial sanctions (TFS) regulations require, and the 24-hour clock they set.
- Resolve a screening alert to one of three outcomes: clear, escalate, or freeze, using identifiers rather than names alone.
- Apply the ownership-and-control test to customers and counterparties that are not themselves listed.
- Run a freeze and report within 24 hours without tipping off the customer.
- Show, with records, that your screening program covers everyone it should.
The course uses short lessons, three decision scenarios and a printable job aid. Each lesson ends with a check you can answer before you move on.
